5 pairs of Japanese wooden chopsticks adorned with gold and silver dragonflies. Why 5? The number 4, shi, pronounced "shee" is Japanese sounds like the same word for death,  Shi. Because of the pronunciation of the number 4 and death being so similar, it is nearly impossible to find a set of 4 of anything in products. Sake sets are set of 3 or more. One carafe and two cups. Tea sets are sets of 3 or 5. That constitutes a set. That's why you see one tea pot and 2 or 4 cups to create a minimum set of 3 or 5 skipping over sets of 4.

The dragonfly chopsticks are a family favorite. Each person has their own color and you can separate a pack to add as gifts. Girls love to wear the chopsticks in their hair. Of course they never use those same sticks to eat with but they can make a nice self defense item with their shiny pointy tips which helps differentiate them from Chinese chopsticks as customarily Chinese chopsticks are more rounded although that can change over time with manufacturing. Here's hoping you don't need them to defend yourself and can enjoy many meals and up-dos with your dragonfly chopsticks. Enjoy!
